Opening Hours

The castle is open for public visits every day including public holidays. 

From Monday through Saturday the opening is at 8am and the closing is at sunset.

On Sundays and other public holidays the opening time is later at 9am and closes in the early after noon, around 1pm depending on the season.

There is no entrance fee.

Note that much of the castle interior is used as meeting rooms or office and is not open to the public, in addition some areas continue to be the site of archeological investigations.

However the main passages through the castle, and the viewing areas at the top and at the sides are accessible at all times.

There are no guides but some information plaques in Italian are posted throughout the building.
